We are a welcoming osteopathic clinic in Blackheath, South East London, providing a range of physical therapy treatments including osteopathy, sports massage and dry needling. Our treatments are suitable for all the family, including pregnant mothers, babies and children, and the elderly.
At your first appointment, we will give you an accurate diagnosis and clear treatment plan. We will explain if and how many follow-up treatments you may need and the best treatments for you. We will also refer you to the correct service if for any reason we are not the most appropriate for you.
I’m Niro Sriskandarajah, principal osteopath at Sphere Osteopathic Clinic. I have worked at various clinics in both England and Scotland before starting my own clinic in Blackheath, and my associate osteopath and I have a combined experience of over 22 years in healthcare.
At Sphere we take a person-centred, seeing every patient as an individual. We offer treatment for common complaints such as back pain, sciatica, sports injuries and joint pains. Whilst physiotherapy and osteopathy are technically different disciplines, they have more commonalities than differences. Both are aimed at healing musculoskeletal pain in the joints, muscles and soft tissues, and both are ideal therapies for aches and pains, joint pain, back/neck pain, sports injuries and similar conditions.
Both therapies also generally use the same techniques, including joint mobilisation & manipulation, massage, soft tissue work, dry needling, and giving you exercises and stretches to aid recovery.
Both osteopathy and physiotherapy are Allied Health Professions, both recognised by health insurers, and both work in the NHS as well as private practice.
